In celebration of Gandhi Jayanti, a group of people joined together- knowns and unknowns, organised by team Sangi Mitan Seva Sansthan to participate in an event on October 2nd as ” नशा मुक्ति जागरूकता सप्ताह ” Inspired by Gandhi Ji.
Team SMSS joined together to begin the march from Telibandha- Marine Drive, dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. Many locals and rehabbed patients from Sangi Mitan Seva Sansthan collaborated to spread awareness against “De-addiction”. The goal was to raise awareness of alcohol addiction among the local population and consumers.
T-shirts, hats, and masks were also handed to the general public by Sangi Mitan. Various fun activities were organised such as a snake and ladder to raise the realisation and consciousness of the dangers of alcohol.
The team visited JN Pandey School to engage with students and organized a debate competition. The team SMSS presented speeches during the daily march from Tatibandh to the marine drive while carrying banners and posters. We also spoke with local traffic charger officials and informed them about alcohol addiction.
On the last day of the event, October 8, 2022, many people joined us on the march and enthusiastically took part. To draw in young people and locals, Sangi Mitan gave speeches and participated in social events.
“नशा मुक्ति जागरूकता सप्ताह” achieved success and received positive reviews from the general audience and young people. We want to express our gratitude to everyone who joined our team, supported us, and contributed in a positive way.
